Research Center for Sustainable Peace (RCSP)

The Research Center for Sustainable Peace (RCSP) is one of the three research institutes formed when the Institute for Advanced Global Studies (IAGS) was established in April 2010, the other two being the Research Center for Sustainable Development (RCSD) and the Research Center for African Studies. These three centers share the same focus on human security and their educational programs are positioned within the Graduate Program on Human Security (HSP).

In its quest to redefine the concept of peace, RCSP has been involved in theoretical and historical studies, field-based research of conflict-ridden areas throughout the world, related action-based research, and critical studies of peace policies.
