9th research meeting (November 27, 2021)
On November 27, 2021, we held an online workshop as the 9th Caravan research meeting. We invited Dr. Yasuko Hassall Kobayashi (Ritsumeikan University / Australian National University), and discussed her latest co-edited book: Yasuko Hassall Kobayashi and Shinnosuke Takahashi eds., Transpacific Visions: Connected Histories of the Pacific across North and South (Rowman & Littlefield, 2021).
We also shared with her some important methods and approaches to analyse Pacific history and the potential positionality in this analysis as non-European researchers.
